MEDITATION
What is meditation? What is its aim?
Different traditions vary in their answer to these questions:
- the development of mindfulness or awareness
- realisation of your true Self - union with God - liberation of the mind or soul - integration of body, mind and spirit
- the elimination of stress and an increase in well-being
Meditation is a way of going beyond beliefs and ideas, however profound, to the experiential knowledge of our divine essence.
All the great traditions contain ways of meditation; in this respect, there are far less differences between them.
PATHS OF MEDITATION, the six-week course which begins on June 18th at York Natural Health, will explore a number of profound spiritual paths together with meditation practices which have been found deeply beneficial.
Mondays 7 – 9 pm Cost: £50 for the course, or £10 each session
