Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation and focus where our conscious mind relaxes and is more able to communicate with our subconscious mind. This state of mind may be brought about either by oneself, unaided (self-hypnosis) or with the help of another person. You remain in charge throughout. As you can go into this deeply relaxed state, so you can come out of it whenever you want.

Hypnotherapy is well known for its effectiveness for helping people with things like weight management, but it is also useful for such things as pain management, dealing with phobias, improving motivation, nail biting, and much more. This approach is often combined with neurolinguistic programming techniques. Neuro-Linguistic programming aims to create lasting and rapid change in the lives of individuals. It uses a set of tried and tested techniques developed from hypnotherapy and psychotherapy by Drs Bandler and Grinder as result of their study of the work of successful therapists. These tools have been refined and developed over more than 25 years to help individuals resolve issues and reach their full potential.
Hypnotherapy and NLP may take the form of short term assistance programmes of 1 - 2 sessions for managing specific issues such as nail biting, exam nerves or a simple phobia. Other programmes are longer, such as a 4 week weight loss programme. |
