Hello, I’m Debbie, a mature advanced EFT practitioner and hypnotherapist. I have many years experience of working with people who are going through very stressful times.
I first discovered hypnotherapy and EFT (tapping) over 25 years ago, after seeking help for a weight issue. I became so intrigued that I decided to study first hypnotherapy then EFT (Tapping) becoming an EFT practitioner and advanced practitioner. This lead to courses in hypnosis for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) relief, stress management and most recently I’ve begun to explore Reiki.
After having worked with a variety of issues I decided to specialise in helping people who have been diagnosed with, and are looking for relief from IBS symptoms.
As a therapist my aim is to achieve results whilst working in the most gentle way possible. Sometimes that means the session will feel like an honest chat, other times, especially if you have been over the same ground again and again or find it uncomfortable to talk openly, we can work just as effectively using images, metaphor or body sensations to make the process easier. It’s true that occasionally there are tears in sessions but often there’s humour and laughter too.

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a frustrating condition often diagnosed when your GP has ruled out everything else but you still have symptoms. Physical symptoms can include: diarrhoea, constipation, abdominal pain, nausea, bloating or excessive wind, backache and headaches. Alongside this it’s common to experience emotional symptoms: fatigue, anxiety, intolerance, lack of confidence, disturbed sleep, difficulty with memory and times of excessive emotion. For several years I’ve guided clients through a successful programme helping them find relief from both the physical and emotional symptoms of IBS.
The programme consists of 6 appointments at designated intervals over a 12 week period. You will also receive five hypnosis audios in MP3 format and a daily listening schedule. The audio recordings address the physical symptoms, help to build resilience, increase energy levels and emotional reserves so that you can begin to lead a normal life again. To get the best results from your programme it’s essential to listen to the recordings every day.
In addition, I’ll introduce you to EFT tapping, this is a powerful stress reduction technique. We can use tapping during your one-to-one sessions to help resolve any current or historical issues which may be triggering the stress response in your system. Reducing the stress response allows your body to relax and regain a sense of physical and emotional balance.
Once learned EFT tapping is a helpful technique you can use anytime, anywhere, to help you stay calm when life happens!

NOTE: Before starting on this programme please ensure that you have spoken to your GP and had a diagnosis of IBS. The GP will test to rule out other conditions which present with similar symptoms.
